Walk the Green Heart!

What is the future of the countryside? In 2020, Rem Koolhaas and AMO investigated the countryside with the help of students from the Harvard Design School. Countryside, the Future was an exhibition in the Guggenheim, New York, you might have missed. Since a year, Zef Hemel, holder of the Abe Bonnema Chair at Delft Technical University and the University of Groningen, is doing research on the Dutch and Chinese countryside. His research question: how to revitalize villages, farms, fields, nature etcetera in the new climate regime. He and Harry den Hartog are doing this by walking. We invite you to join us on a walking tour in the Green Heart of the Randstad area on Saturday December 16, 2023. You will walk from Woerden to Kamerik and back, a distance of some 20 kilometers. Bring your boots and rain gear with you, because you might get wet!
