UL Week 2023/ Day 04/ Environmental Crises/ focus on Waste/ Workshop

Refunc will hold a workshop on experimental construction and design with found or leftover materials. It will be a half-day of experimenting in small groups on how to understand material by listening to it, understanding its qualities, composition and potential by 3D sketching and learning by playing. Participants will be introduced to intuitive inverse design which implies function follows form and how to create from with the given material. Every group can choose the direction of design, scale and desired outcome. Refunc will supply participants with slatted bed frames, something that can be very often found on the streets, as material and reusable cable ties to connect. The workshop functions as an open playground, racking, stacking, all is possible.
